2027 Collective Series  - Honouring Grandmother Moon

Our Collective Series is Moose River Studios' annual signature exhibition.

For countless generations, the moon has guided the seasons, marked the passage of time, and connected people to the rhythms of the natural world. Across many Indigenous traditions, Grandmother Moon is honoured as a source of wisdom, renewal, and balance, reminding us of our relationship with the Earth and with one another. Moon names and teachings vary among Indigenous Nations; the names and themes presented here are offered as creative inspiration for artistic exploration. As 2027 has twelve full moons, this year's series follows the natural rhythm of the calendar.

How the Collective Series Works

Unlike a traditional exhibition featuring one artist, the Collective Series brings together the work of many artists responding to a shared theme. Each moon inspires a new exhibition. Artists may submit up to three artworks inspired by that moon's theme. Selected works are displayed together, creating a collective conversation through many artistic voices, mediums, and perspectives.

For this Collective Series in the Community Gallery, participation cost is based on a fee per artwork.

Winter Members $15 / Non-members: $25

Spring & Autumn Members $20 / Non-members $30

Summer Members $25 / Non-members $35
